Governance
The Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District is governed by a five-member board that administers the district's affairs. A multitude of state laws determine the manner in which a fire district must conduct its business.
Finance
Arizona law requires all officers and public bodies to maintain records reasonably necessary to provide an accurate accounting of their official activities and any government-funded activities. Any record in the custody of an Arizona government entity that has a substantial nexus to government activity is considered a public record and is presumed to be subject to disclosure.
Employment
Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District currently employs 48 full-time Firefighters, 3 Battalion Chiefs, 1 Fire Marshal, 2 Administrative Staff, 1 Fleet Manager, and the Fire Chief.

Auxiliaries
Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District is supported by two volunteer organizations providing supplementary support. These auxiliaries were formed prior to the formation of the district under the Camp Verde and Montezuma Rimrock Fire Districts.
Community Risk Reduction
The Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Division is dedicated to evaluating community risks from natural and man-made disasters, hazards, and injury, developing and delivering programs to prevent or minimize such occurrences, consistent with the high value the community places on the health and safety of all its residents, employees and visitors.
