Community Risk Reduction

The Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Division (formerly Fire Prevention)  is dedicated to evaluating community risks from natural and man-made disasters, hazards, and injury, developing and delivering programs to prevent or minimize such occurrences, consistent with the high value the community places on the health and safety of all its residents, employees and visitors.

The CRR Division is responsible for protecting the public through the coordinated efforts of fire prevention code enforcement and fire protection engineering. The Fire Marshal and Fire Inspectors are responsible for code enforcement, and inspections of existing buildings and properties for fire code violations.
