Fire Suppression

Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District consists of 48 fully trained and certified firefighters, staffing three fire stations. These stations are located throughout the district to optimize response times. The district is dispatched by the Cottonwood Regional Communications Center and takes part in automatic aid, countywide, and statewide mutual aid.

All fire apparatus are fully equipped with firefighting equipment and foam capabilities. The staffing for fire-related incidents includes personnel who are on duty and additional personnel as necessary. Incidents we commonly respond to include structure fires, vehicle fires, brush fires, trash fires, illegal burning, down power lines, natural gas leaks, fuel spills, and alarm activation calls. Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District firefighters maintain proficiency in a range of skills by practicing suppression techniques such as structure ventilation, interior fire attack, and search and rescue.
